Stanley Park & The Sea Wall

Stanley Park offers stunning natural beauty just a stones throw away from the city. With 405 hectares (1,001 acres) of lush vegetation and scenic views of the city skyline and mountains, it’s one of the largest urban parks in North America. Here you can explore the area by foot or Rogers bike, with the most popular route being the seawall, a paved pathway that stretches for 9 kilometers (5.5 miles) along the waterfront.   

Vancouver Lookout

Take a short break from the congress to view the city from above. The Vancouver Lookout is an observation deck located 800 meters away from the Convention Centre. Atop of the Harbour Centre Building, it offers panoramic views of the city, mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

Whale Watching 

From March to October, thousands of whales migrate through the waters near Vancouver, making it one of the best locations for whale watching. Tours present the chance to see a range of wildlife, from humpback whales and orcas to pelicans and tufted puffins.

Situated just over 13km from Vancouver International Airport (YVR), Vancouver Convention Centre can be reached via taxi, car or public transit. Simply order a taxi via your mobile phone or visit the taxi rank at the airport.
