Recognized as a provincial expert in fire and fuels management, Bruce has led numerous innovative projects across British Columbia, Alberta, and the Yukon, focusing on wildfire risk identification, mitigation, and planning. His extensive portfolio includes the development of Community Wildfire Protection Plans, wildfire risk assessments, fuel treatment prescriptions, and landscape-level fuel breaks. Bruce has worked with a wide range of clients—including government ministries, municipalities, and private industry—balancing complex and sometimes conflicting land management objectives. He has also completed specialized fire-related assignments for the energy sector, including work with BC Hydro, independent power producers, and oil and gas companies.
